"Goccia a Goccia" Exhibition
With the new interactive exhibit created by POST, the Museum has provided the visitors with the opportunity to familiarize with water, a simple but mysterious, amazing, and precious molecule. The exhibition has been designed in conjunction with the Conference XXIV IUGG (International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics), an event that led to Perugia about 4500 scientists from all over the world.
Flower Film Festival
The Flower Film Festival: the international film festival inspired by flowers, green, environment, nature and landscape, was officially presented Saturday, July 7, 2007 in Spello (PG), where for the occasion the special session dedicated to the value of the water resource for humanity, which is as well a main theme of the XXIV General Assembly of IUGG (International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics), took place.
Communicating the Event
The IUGG XXIV General Assembly has provided technicians and experts from public and private offices, professionals and all those that play a role as communicators, with an opportunity to hear qualified international experts discussing applied research and its impact in various fields of Geodesy and Geophysics.
"Alberto Biasi: the Movement, the Space"
On the occasion of the XXIV Meeting of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG), "Earth: our changing planet," The Swan DD Editions of Rome organized a unique exhibition that combines the science with art. The exhibition displays a series of fascinating surveying instruments dating back to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, alongside a comprehensive series of works by Master Alberto Biasi, entitled "Imagination: movement, space": a unique opportunity to look Our changing planet through the lens of science and at the same time, through the worried and disquieting eyes of this major Italian artist.
The Reclamation of Chiana Valley
Starting from the available historical documentation, the exhibition illustrates the reasons, rules and methods that have led, in the last four centuries, to the reclamation of the valley that was at the beginning a swamp, as well represented by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1500.

The IUGG XXIV Conference aims to improve our quality of life by providing basic information for a safe and healthy environment through the sharing of knowledge and understanding of the Earth. Quality of life includes the wellbeing of our mind and soul and the nurturing of friendly relationships. It is with this spirit and in order to enjoy an occasion for socializing that this event has been organized.

At the end of the 1970s, a team of scientists from the University of California at Serkeley, composed of physicist Luis Alvarez, his son Walter, a geologist, and nuclear chemists Helen Michel and Frank Asaro, made a shocking discovery.

On the occasion of the XXIV General Assembly of Geodesy and Geophysics, which will be held in Perugia from 02/07/2007 to 13/07/2007, the CNR, in collaboration with the Military Geographical Institute and the Army School of Foreign Languages, proposes creating a cartographic exhibition to show the evolution of maps from Renaissance to today. Every four years the International Union of Geodesy Geophysics brings together researchers of Geodetic and Geophysical Sciences from all continents.
On the occasion of presenting such an important work on Umbria Underground, but not less important for the cities of Umbria, allow me to briefly hint you on the XXIV General Assembly of the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG) held in Perugia, thanks to the purposeful and organizational efforts put in by the National Research Council and the University of Perugia, under the ambit of the celebrations of the seven hundred years of the foundation of the university.
The Local Organizing Committee of the IUGG in collaboration with the municipality of Gualdo Tadino has organized a social dinner for members of the Council of IUGG for the day July 6, 2007, at the beautiful medieval setting of the Rocca Flea in Gualdo Tadino, an old castle that stands to protect the city.
Perugia Academy of Fine Arts, the second oldest in Italy, was founded by the painter Orazio Alfani and the architect and mathematician Raffaello Sozi in 1573, only 11 years after the Florence one; it has had its premises in the former Franciscan monastery of San Francesco al Prato since the beginning of the 20th century.
